Glass Dyke

EXPERIENCE OF OUR WATER MANAGEMENT. Where in the Netherlands can you walk around in a dike and really experience what it is like to be below water level? Our design of a Glass Dike for Midden-Delfland (after a basic idea by Paul Izeboud in 2006) consists of a dike with laminated glass on both sides from where you can observe both the lower polder and the higher water. In winter, the Glass Dike is just as spectacular; cake and biscuits overlooking the skaters, discernible thickness of the ice and views of the snow-covered landscape. An infill with catering, education spot for schools and information centre for Delfland, is realistic.
