Glass Dike

EXPERIENCE OF OUR WATER MANAGEMENT. Where in the Netherlands can you walk around a dike and really experience what it is like to be under water level? Our design of a Glass Dike for Midden-Delfland (after a basic idea by Paul Izeboud in 2006) consists of a dike with laminated glass on either side from which you can observe both the lower polder and the higher water. In winter, the Glass Dike is just as spectacular; cake and coffee with a view of the skaters, perceptible thickness of the ice and a view of the snow-covered landscape. An infill with catering, education spot for schools and information center for Delfland, is realistic.
