EXPERIMENTS WITH WARM CONCRETE. 

In the expansion of the Quality Center of the ENCI in Botlek for the first time in the Netherlands Warm Concrete is applied. In Warm concrete sand and gravel have been replaced by expanded glass. This results in a better insulated and 70% lighter than standard concrete. We will also design a slim staircase of Ultra High Strength Concrete (UHPC). Thus the ENCI, in addition to their daily experiments with the composition of concrete, can show the application of these materials to their visitors. 

Additionally, in collaboration with Allard de Goeij/PRO and Rob Korver/AREA, we designed a pouf arrangement for the BouwRAI 2015 and, in 2016, a proposal for a pavilion for TU Eindhoven. 

These projects were initiated by Hans Köhne of the Cement & Concrete Center.
