TALUD DWELLING. Unlike other detached houses, this one sets at the edge of the property, leaving space for a spacious garden. The earthen noise barrier, along the main road, is extended over the roof of the house. The light wooden floor is supported by a heavy base of large split blocks. The overgrown roof gives the impression that the house rises from the existing embankment and looks out into the garden.

The design was nominated for the BNA Architecture City Prize Bergen op Zoom 1998.
