PROMINENT CORNERS. In the heart of Amsterdam, near Waterlooplein, a very extensive housing project has been realised. The main architect, atelier PRO from The Hague, asked three offices ( Köther and Salman, Van der Waals/Zeinstra and our office ) to develop building blocks for the part on Valkenburgerstraat. Our contribution consists of three corner solutions. The tall, transparent architecture of these "Iris and Eelco" corner pavilions radiates great openness to the outside world.
