Marquis
A FOLD-OUT CARAVAN. In 1985, the foundation "De Fantasie" in Almere organised a design competition entitled "Temporary Living". The Marquis was one of the winning entries. With awnings and floors folded up, the little house is as mobile as a caravan. Once arrived at its destination, the floor space can be tripled.
The Markies was awarded the audience award Designprijs Rotterdam 1996. The Marquis has since been part of many international exhibitions and a new version for the market is being worked on. website: markies.co.uk
