designed with attention to their surroundings as artistic elements in the landscape.<\/p><p><strong>The WAALSPRONG<\/strong>\u00a0is located along the Betuwe railway line and is designed to be visible from a long distance away, mainly because of the contrast between the rough anthracite-coloured main volume with vertical waves and the shiny, smooth facades of the other volumes.<\/p><p><strong>BERGERDEN<\/strong> By contrast, it is constructed entirely of glass building blocks. This transparent design refers to the nearby greenhouse area and reinforces the feeling that the building is an extension of the surrounding greenhouse structures.
